Max Hurd, Director, UK ProBASE Email: max@ukprobase.com Having started skydiving in 1992 and BASE jumping four years later Max has completed over 400 jumps from fixed objects around the world including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. He was also the first British person to jump into the Cave of the Swallows in Mexico. His job as a communications engineer means that he has experience of working at height; Max holds IRATA rope access qualifications, has much rigging experience and is familiar with HSE risk assessment. He also continues to work as a skydiving tandem instructor on a freelance basis. Max has a wide range of experience within both BASE jumping and skydiving; he has shot free fall footage of wingsuit skydives in front of the Eiger for Sony PlayStation, performed complex aerial manoeuvres whilst BASE jumping from the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai and participated in the "World Team" international freefall skydiving record in Thailand. Having presented Britain’s first public display of BASE jumping in association with Go Fast Sports at the Bedford Riverside Festival in 2006 Max co founded UK Pro BASE in order to positively increase public awareness of BASE jumping within the UK. Dave Moores, Director, UK ProBASE Dave started skydiving in 1984 and took up paragliding ten years later. Having worked extensively as both a mentor and professional guide he has flown many thousands of hours around the world, including South Africa, South America and Great Britain. Having started BASE jumping five years ago Dave has completed over 400 jumps, from more than 100 different objects, mainly in Europe and South Africa. Dave is a qualified and experienced EMT and brings this valuable medical training to UK Pro BASE. His previous career as a maritime salvage rigger has provided Dave with experience working both at height and under difficult circumstances. Having presented Britain’s first public display of BASE jumping in association with Go Fast Sports at the Bedford Riverside Festival in 2006 Dave co founded UK Pro BASE in order to positively increase public awareness of BASE jumping within the UK. Particularly competent at practical problem solving Dave is keen to ensure that UK Pro BASE continues to raise the profile of BASE jumping within the UK. |

Andy Montriou, Event Support Andy is a full time professional Skydiver and BASE jumper holding all of the British Parachute Association instructional qualifications, including that of Instructor Examiner. He is also a qualified Display Team Leader, meaning that he is able to organise parachute displays at public events. A voting member of the British Parachute Association’s Safety and Training Committee Andy is currently the Chief Instructor of Skydive Jersey Ltd in the Channel Islands, where he has responsibility for the safe conduct of all of the flying and parachuting activities. Countless skydives and 400 BASE jumps make Andy one of the most experienced and respected jumpers in the UK. His depth and range of technical knowledge and experience are simply unrivalled, and we are pleased to have him as part of the team.

Simon Brentford, Website Development and Event Support Email: simon@ukprobase.com Simon made his first skydive in 1993 and was immediately hooked. Competing for many years in the discipline of formation skydiving, he has notched up over 2200 skydives and won the British Championships in 2004. It was not until the year 2000 that Simon did his first BASE jump off a small bridge in the UK. From there, he spent most of his spare holidays BASE jumping around the world and has enjoys all facets of the sport from low antennas to wingsuiting off big walls such as the Eiger in Switzerland. Simon has over 400 BASE jumps and particularly enjoys those jumps which are not easy to complete, which take time to prepare, scope and achieve. His favourite jump was flying wingsuit on the world record mass jump where 30 people jumped simultaneous from the Ostankino radio tower in Moscow. He also organised the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge mini event in 2008. Simon designs and markets websites for a living which is also where he makes a contribution to UK Pro BASE. |
